Cyclists defy blustery conditions to help Palestinian children
The first Golden Pedal charity cycle challenge, took place last Sunday 18th September 2011. Organised by the Penzance based charity Children’s Relief Bethlehem UK, to raise desperately needed funds to help the youngest and most vulnerable in Palestine.
The 16 cyclists conquered the challenging 42 mile route in extremely windy and wet weather conditions. Starting from the beautiful setting of Land’s End, the loop took in several local beauty spots around the West Penwith Peninsula such as the panoramic North Coast road, St Michael’s Mount and picturesque Mousehole, testing the participant’s physical endurance and cycle handling skills.
