Farewell to Muhammad

Lucerne, May 16, 2017 – We are sad to announce that on early Monday morning Muhammad passed away in the Caritas Baby Hospital. He succumbed his severe metabolic disorder. Muhammad spent many weeks and months of his life in the Caritas Baby Hospital and it became his home away from home.

For years, he had been hospitalised time and again, sometimes even for a long period of time. The hospital staff cherished his charms and his zest for life. Many times, he brought smiles to the faces of his younger fellow patients and the nursing staff remember him being somewhat of a prankster.

Our donors are familiar with Muhammad’s bright smile; We have published pictures of the Caritas Baby Hospital featuring Muhammad many times over the last few years. He was one of the faces of our hospital.

Now he is no longer with us – free at last of a severe, malicious disease. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones, parents and siblings, to whom we wish to express our deepest sympathy. The memory of a strong patient who faced his destiny with admirable dignity will forever stay with us.
